Nine West F/W 2015 Collection Launch

Nine West FW '15

I don’t think I’ve ever met a woman (or even a man) that doesn’t like shoes. Me? Well, it’s no secret – I really REALLY like shoes! Actually, I LOOOVE shoes! Ok, fine….I’m a bit of a shoe-fanatic or more like shoe-obsessed! Put it this way, if you say ‘shoe-porn’, I’ll be there and I wanna be all up in that! Not in a nasty, foot-fetishy way or anything but ya know what I mean. When it comes to shoe brands and labels, I may not be an expert, but lets just say I know my way around the shoe department and I’m confident to say that I know my deets. So when one says Nine West, of course I know it! And to host their exclusive launch event? Yippee! Sounds good to me!! 🙂

Nine West FW '15Having been around since 1978 and in over 78 different countries, who doesn’t know Nine West? I always knew that the sophisticated ‘n chic woman’s shoe label offered a wide range of stylish sexy footwear and accessories, but now they’ve branched out even further and offer equally trendy threads for the modern woman.

Nine West FW '15The exclusive event was held at their Raffles City outlet in Singapore and to celebrate the launch of their new collection, there was a special fashion show presenting the six different lines for the season – Fusion, Snobby, The Poet, College, Clair Obscur and Victorian Folk.  I hosted the event in a cute little number from their “Snobby” line.

Each of the guests also had the opportunity to get a caricature done of themselves and have it put on their very own personalised mug by Adam, the caricature artist.

Champagne, cute clothes, hot shoes…..it was a great evening surrounded by fellow fashionistas. Congrats to Nine West for the launch of their Fall/Winter Collection and thank you for having me as your host for the special occasion. Also a big thank you to my manager, Wendy from Fly Entertainment for taking such good care of me that night.

Desigual Show at Audi Fashion Festival 2014

Young, fun and vibrant is just a few words to describe the energetic show that Desigual put on during the Audi Fashion Festival this year. The Spanish casual clothing brand showed off flamboyant colours and vivid prints in their latest collection. Keeping in line with the brand’s image, the models strutted the runway with huge smiles and blowing kisses to the audience throughout the entire show.

I’m a big fan of colours and exploring different patterns and prints so I was excited when I was invited to the show and was asked to select my own personalised outfit for the event. When I went in to the shop I was debating on either wearing one of the many beautifully printed dresses or trying out something ‘different’…..Hey, spontanaity is what the brand is all about so what better time to try out my creative juices than now.  I decided on a pair of super comfy jeans-the ‘Concha Denim’ and thought to explore something different by transforming the bright Allegra scarf into a top. It was a challenge but a challenge I was willing to face….especially in the name of fashion! 🙂 I paired my Desigual ensemble with fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti strapped pumps and added some bling to the look with the Ginger silver bag from White Moon.

It was definitely a fun filled event and I had a blast with fellow regional celebrities and fashionistas! Thank you to Jolene from Huntington Communications for arranging everything and Desigual for dressing me and for the invite!!! ❤

Oh, and many people asked and were wondering how I transformed the scarf into a top so if you’re curious, the video is down below! 😉

Hansel Show at Audi Fashion Festival 2014

I remember briefly meeting the incredibly talented brainchild behind the whimsical female clothing brand Hansel, Jo Soh during the very early days of my television career when I interviewed her for a regional cable TV show I was hosting.  Although that was eons ago, the label was always imbedded in my head as I loved the fact how she named it after her family dog, Hansel. So being a fellow dog lover I was automatically drawn to the brand. Apart from sharing the love for pooches, I liked how Jo Soh designs for the confident, everyday woman. Hansel is minimalism with a retro touch and most importantly is all about looking stylish whilst still remaining comfortable.

When Jo Soh extended a personal invite to me for her show at this year’s Audi Fashion Festival I was stoked! I couldn’t wait to see what Hansel had in store this season as the label is known to always have a story or inspiration behind it.

I dropped by her shop at Mandarin Gallery to try on pieces to wear to the show. When I arrived it’s like she read my mind and had preselected a few that were soooooo ‘me’. I loved each and every piece and it was so hard for me to make a final decision, but with the help from Jo Soh, herself, and the kind ladies at the shop I decided on the blue strappy trapeze dress from the “Hansel for Addy Lee” range that had a pop of sexy detail at the back.

The Hansel show had to be the cutest I’ve ever seen…..the models playfully skipped down the runway taking photos with the audience. It was unpredictable, happy and fun….all of which describes the label.

This season’s inspiration is colourful fairy lights and as it goes for all Hansel collections, every piece complements the body and is wearable by any woman.

For my final look for the night, keeping with the playful yet sexy vibe of the dress, I wore gold strappy heels from Charlotte Olympia, small disco ball-esk earrings from Kate Spade and added a bit of bling with the sequins Ginger sling bag from White Moon.
